Only a couple days remain until the official start of summer and the Longest Day of PLAY. Kick off your summer in style by doing your part – it’s easy just get up and get moving.
The PLAY in Bruce Grey physical activity initiative is encouraging everyone to participate in Longest Day of PLAY on Thursday June 21st. The Longest Day of PLAY is a community based awareness campaign designed to encourage Grey Bruce residents to get more active. Visit the newly re-designed PLAY website at www.playbrucegrey.com for activity suggestions and events in your community.
The Longest Day of PLAY is now a nationally recognized event with ParticipACTION leading the charge with a goal of getting more people thinking about their activity levels. For adults, the target is to accumulate 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity each week. Children and youth should be active for at least one hour every day.
PLAY would like to thank Bruce Power for their financial support of this event.
